Cheesy Sausage and Tortellini Toss

No time to cook? Here's a quick and easy supper dish to serve in a pinch.

This is one of the BEST pasta dishes I have had in a long time. Here to good food.

1 cup packaged dried tricolor or plain tortellini (about 1/2 of a 7-ounce package)
3 cups broccoli flowerets
8 ouncess fully cooked smoked Polish sausage, halved lengthwise and thinly bias-sliced
1 tablespoon margarine or butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon caraway seed
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded process Swiss cheese (4 ounces)
1 tablespoon coarse-grain brown mustard

In a Dutch oven or large saucepan cook tortellini in a large amount of boinling salted
water for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add broccoli and Polish sausage. Return
to boinling and cook about 5 minutes more or till pasta is tender but slightly firm and
broccoli is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally. Drain; keep warm.

Meanwhile, for sauce, in a medium saucepan melt margarine or butter. Stir in flour
and caraway seed. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Add
Swiss chese and brown mustard, stirring till cheese melts. Pour sauce over tortellini
mixture; toss to coat.

Makes 4 main-dish servings.
