Plain Spaghetti
It is not recommended to use refined white flour products ‹ such
as noodles and spaghetti on the common market. However,
healthful flour products are available at health food stores.
Buckwheat, soy, or whole wheat spaghetti is recommended.
Servings: 4
4 qts water
1 Tbs salt
1 lb spaghetti
In a eight quart pot, bring the water and salt to a boil. Add the
spaghetti all at once and stir for 1 minute. Return to boiling. Boil,
uncovered and stirring occasionally for 8-12 minutes until firm
but tender (al dente, Italian for ³to the teeth²). Drain in colander.
Rinse quickly under hot water to keep separated. Dress and serve.
Preparation and cooking time: 15 min.
Hint: Spaghetti should be cooked just before serving time for
best results.
