Foolproof Tips for Coffee Making
Having been called upon to "make the coffee" in a number of different
kitchens, featuring a number of different varieties of coffee pots,
coffee and what not, I have determined these foolproof rules to make the
coffee as palatable as possible under a variety of circumstances:
1. Measure water and coffee to insure reasonably consistent results.
2. Measure by using this ratio: 2 tbsp. coffee : 1 standard coffee cup.
3. To make six servings, use 1/2-3/4 C coffee to 4 1/2 C water.
4. Make coffee just before it is to be served.
5. Serve only freshly made coffee as reheated coffee loses something in
translation.
6. Keep coffee pot and grounds basket scrupulously clean.
