Subj: Crock pot stew
Here's a no-fail recipe for crock pot beef stew:
Start the night before.
In a crock pot, layer:
3-4 carrots, peeled and sliced
3-4 potatoes, peeled and cut up
onions, peeled and cut in half or quarters
1-2 pounds lean stew beef or cut up chuck steak
1 can Golden Mushroom soup (Campbell's)
1 evelope onion soup mix
1 can water
Layer vegetables in the crock pot as I ordered them,
topping with the beef. Mix the soups
and water together. Pour over meat. Put crock pot on
low. Cook all night and the next
evening, you'll have beef stew for supper. You might
want to check it in the morning to
maybe add alittle more water.
The measurements are not critical. Add whatever other
vegetables you like.
