     Title: Mr Pibb Pralines

  Servings: 12

      1 c  Sugar; Granulated 
      1 c  Brown Sugar; Dark, Packed 
      1 c  Mr. Pibb 
      1 c  Marshmallows; Miniature 
      1 x  Pecan Halves; * 

  *  Use 2 to 3 cups of pecan halves.
  
  Cook sugars and Mr. Pibb in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly,
  then gradually birng to the soft ball stage (240 degrees F on candy
  thermometer).  Remove mixture from heat; stir in marshmallows and pecans.
  Mix vigorously until marshmallows dissolve.  Quickly drop by tablespoon on
  wax paper to cool.
  
  Makes 2 dozen pralines.
  
  NOTE:
  
  If Mr Pibb is not available in your area, use Dr. Pepper.
 



 
     Title: Ritz Pecan Pie

  Servings:  8

     20 ea Ritz Crackers; Crushed * 
      1 t  Baking Powder 
      3 ea Egg Whites; Large 
      1 c  Sugar 
      1 t  Vanilla Extract 
    1/2 c  Pecans; Halves 
      3 oz Milk Chocolate; Fine Shred 

  *    Crush Ritz Crackers to crumbs.
  
  Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.  Mix cracker crumbs and baking powder.
  Beat egg whites stiff, then very gradually add sugar, continiuing to beat.
  Add vanilla.  Fold egg whites and crackers together.  Put in a buttered
  9-inch pie plate.  Arrange pecans across top.  Bake 30 minutes.  Remove
  from oven, Sprinkle with shredded chocolate, then put under the broiler
  for a few seconds, watching closely so that the chocolate melts but does
  not scorch.  Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
 



 
     Title: Hydrox Cookie Dessert

  Servings:  8

    1/2 c  Milk 
      2 ea Egg Yolks; Large 
     24 ea Marshmallows; Full Size 
      2 ea Egg Whites; Lge,Beaten Stiff 
      1 c  Heavy Cream; Whipped 
     36 ea Hydrox Chocolate Cookies 
      8 T  Butter; Melted 

  Mix milk, egg yolks, and marshmallows.  Heat to custard consistency, cool.
  Add beaten egg whites and whipped cream.  Mas cookies thoroughly and add
  melted butter to make crumbs.  Place all but a couple of Tbls of the
  crumbs on the bottom of a 9 X 13-inch pan.  Spread custard mixture neatly
  over crumbs.  Sprinkle reserved crumbs over the top.  Chill until firm.
  
  NOTE:
  
  Oreo Single filling and Hydrox cookies are about the same.  If you can't
  find Hydrox you can substitute Oreo singles for the Hydrox.
 



 
     Title: Twinkie Pie
Categories: Pies Desserts    
  Servings:  8

      1 x  Butter 
      9 ea Twinkies 
      3 ea Eggs; Large, Seperated 
      1 x  Cream Of Tartar; Dash of 
    1/2 c  Sugar 
    1/2 t  Vanilla Extract 
      6 oz Chocolate Chips; Semisweet 
      1 c  Pecans; Chopped 
      1 c  Heavy Cream; Whipped 

  Grease pyrex square or rectangular casserole with butter.  Cut 8 Twinkies
  in thirds, LENGTHWISE, and put one layer on the bottom of the casserole.
  Beat egg whites, with the cream of tartar and sugar, adding vanilla.
  Melt chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler.  Add egg yolks to
  chocolate, slowly, continuing to stir over boiling water.  Fold chocolate
  into egg whites.  Spread over Twinkies, then sprinkle with about half of
  the nuts.  Layer on more twinkies, more chocolate, more nuts.  Continue
  layering.  Top with whipped cream and a single whole Twinkie.  Chill and
  serve.



 
     Title: Best Jell-o

  Servings:  6

      3 oz Jell-o; Any Flavor, (1 Pk) 
      1 c  ;Boiling Water 
      8 oz Cola; Cold 
      8 oz Cream Cheese; 1/2 Cubes 
      1 c  Dark Cherries;Pitted Drained 
    1/2 c  Nuts; If Desired 

  Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.  When cooled to room temperature, add
  cola, cream cheese, cherries, and nuts, if desired.  Pour into 6-cup mold.
  Chill until set.  Unmold to serve.
 



 
     Title: Sour Cream Jell-O d' Akron
Categories: Desserts Fruits    
  Servings:  6

      6 oz Lime Jell-O; (2 Pkgs) 
      1 c  ;Boiling Water 
     20 oz Pineapple;Crushed, Undrained 
      1 pt Sour Cream 
    1/2 c  Pecans; Coarsely Cut 
      8 oz Maraschino Cherries; Drained 
      1 x  Whipped Cream 

  Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.  Mix pineapple, sour cream, nuts and
  cherries.  Add to Jell-O.  Pour into 8-inch Square oiled pan.  Refrigerate
  2 hours or until set.  Cut into squares and serve topped with whipped
  cream.




 
     Title: Barbecue Cubes
Categories: Salads Side dish    
  Servings:  4

      3 oz Lemon Jell-O; (1 Pkg.) 
    3/4 c  ;Boiling Water 
      8 oz Tomato Sauce; (1 can) 
  1 1/2 t  Vinegar 
    1/2 t  Salt 
      1 x  Pepper; Dash Of 
      1 T  Horseradish 

  Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.  Mix all other ingredients, and when
  Jell-O is at room temperature, add and mix well.  Pour into oiled 8-inch
  square pan.  Chill until firm.  Cut into cubes and serve atop salad to go
  with your barbecue.
 




     Title: Cut Glass Dessert

  Servings: 10

CRUST
  1 2/3 c  Vanilla Wafer Crumbs 
    1/4 c  Sugar 
      1 c  Pecans; Finely Chopped 
      8 T  Butter 
FILLING
      9 oz Jell-O; (3 pkgs.), * 
      3 oz Lemon Jell-O; (1 Pkg.) 
      1 c  Pineapple Juice; Hot 
    1/2 c  ; Cold Water 
      1 c  Heavy Cream 
      1 c  Pinapple; Crushed, Drained 

  *    Select Packages of Jell-O in complimentary colors and flavors.
  
  CRUST:
  
  Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.  Combine vanilla wafer crumbs, sugar, and
  pecans.  Cut in butter.  Press into 9 X 13-inch pan.  Bake 8 to 10
  minutes.
  
  FILLING:
  
  In separate greased 8-inch square pans, make each of the 3 flavors of
  Jell-O according to the directions on the package.  When set, cut into
  1/2-inch cubes.  Dissolve lemon Jell-O in hot pineapple juice, then add
  1/2 c cold water.  Place in refrigerator until it starts to set.  Whip
  cream.  Fold crushed pineapple into whipped cream, then add semi-set lemon
  Jell-O.  Fold in the Jell-O cubes and pour into crust.  Chill about 1 hour
  before serving.
 



 
     Title: Undescended Twinkies
Categories: Desserts Soda pop    
  Servings:  4

      6 oz Orange Jell-O; (2 pkgs) 
      1 c  ;Boiling Water 
    1/2 c  Pineapple Juice 
      1 qt Vanilla Ice Cream; Softened 
      7 oz 7-Up 
      8 ea Twinkies 

  Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.  Add pineapple juice, ice cream and
  7-Up.  Mix thoroughly (In a blender if necessary to dissolve ice cream),
  and pour into a deep pan, approximately 9-inches square.  Chill until
  mixture begins to set.  Lay Twinkies, flat side down, in two rows of four
  across the top of the chilled gelatin.  If the gelatin is properly
  chilled, it will resist the Twinkies.  You will push them in and they will
  slowly rise.  Remember you don't want them buried.  Just semi-decended in
  the ooze.  Chill until fully set and serve.
 



 
     Title: Sloppy Joes, Lipton Style
Categories: Ground beef Main dish Beef   
  Servings:  8

      2 lb Ground Beef 
      1 ea Env. Lipton Soup Mix; * 
     15 oz Tomato Sauce; (1 cn) 
    1/2 c  Pickle Relish; Sweet 

  *  Use one of the following recipe soup mixes: Onion, Onion-Mushroom,
     Beefy-Mushroom, or Beefy Onion.
  
  In large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat; drain.  Stir in
  remaining ingredients.  Simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.  Serve,
  if desired, over toasted hamburger buns.
  
  MICORWAVE DIRECTIONS:
  
  In a 2-quart casserole, heat ground beef, uncovered, at HIGH (Full Power)
  for 7 minutes.  Drain.  Stir in remaining ingredients.  Heat covered,
  stirring occasionally, 4 minutes or until headed through.  Let stand,
  covered, for 5 minutes.  Serve as above.
 



 
    
     Title: Lipton Onion Burgers
Categories: Ground beef Beef Main dish   
  Servings:  8

      1 ea Env. Soup Mix; * 
      2 lb Beef; Ground 
    1/2 c  ;Water 

  *  Use one of the following Recipe Soup mixes in this recipe: Onion.
  Onion-Mushroom,Or Beefy Mushroom Mix.
  
  In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; shape into 8 patties.  Grill or
  broil until done.  Serve if desired, on Hamburger buns.
  
  MICROWAVE:
  
  Prepare patties as above.  In an oblong baking dish, arrange 4 patties and
  heat uncovered on high (Full Power) 6 minutes, turing patties once.
  Repeat with remaining patties.  Let stand, covered, at least 5 minutes.
  Serve as above.
  
  NOTE:
  
  You can cover the dish with paper towels to prevent splattering on the
  inside of the oven, but do not cover with any type of lid.  Also drain the
  grease from the pan when putting in the second batch of burgers or if
  using regular ground beef, when you turn them the first time.
 



 
     Title: Lipton's Calico Coleslaw
Categories: Side dish Vegetables    
  Servings:  4

      1 ea Env. Vegetable Soup Mix 
    1/2 pt Sour Cream; (8 ozs) 
    1/4 c  Mayonnaise 
      1 T  Apple Cider Vinegar 
      2 T  Prepared Mustard;Dijon Style 
      5 c  Green Cabbage; Shredded 
      1 ea Red Onion; Small Sliced Thin 
      1 T  Parsley; Finely Chopped 
      1 x  Pepper; To taste 

  In medium bowl, thorougly blend vegetable recipe soup mix, sour cream,
  mayonnaise, vinegar and mustard.  Toss with remianing ingredients; chill
  until serving time.
 



 
     Title: Lipton's Country-Style Baked Beans
Categories: Vegetables Side dish Fruits   
  Servings:  6

      1 ea Env. Recipe Soup Mix; * 
     24 oz Baked Beans; In Tomato Sauce 
      1 ea Apple; Medium, Chopped 
    1/4 c  Brown Sugar; Packed 
      1 T  Prepared Mustard 

  *  Use either Onion, Onion-Mushroom or Beefy-Mushroom Soup Mix in this
     recipe.
  
  In large saucepan, combine all ingredients.  Cook, uncovered, over medium
  heat, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
  
  MICROWAVE:
  
  In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, combine all ingredients.  Heat, covered, at
  HIGH (Full Power), Stirring occasionally, for 12 minutes or until
  bubbling.  Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
 



 
     Title: Lipton's Marinated Flank Steak
Categories: Steak Meats Main dish   
  Servings:  8

      1 ea Env. Recipe Soup Mix; * 
    1/2 c  ;Water 
    1/2 c  Red Wine; Dry 
    1/4 c  Olive Or Vegetable Oil 
      1 T  Parsley; Fresh, Fine Chop 
      1 t  Oregano 
    1/8 t  Pepper 
      2 lb Flank Steak; Beef 

  *    Use either Onion or Onion-Mushroom Soup mix for this recipe.
  
  In a large shallow baking dish, thoroughly blend all ingredients except
  steak; add steak and turn to coat.  Cover and marinate in refrigerator,
  turning steak and piercing with fork occasionslly, at least 4 hours or
  overnight.  Remove Steak, reserving marinade.  Grill or broil steak,
  turning once, until done.  Mean while, in a small saucepan, bring
  remaining marinades to a boil, then simmer 5 minutes.  If necessary, skim
  fat from marinade.  Serve hot marinade with the steak.
