Subj: Baked clams
From: SDiamond

NEED: 12 medium size clams, bread crumbs with italian seasoning, olive oil, lemon,
garlic, oregano and any other seasonings you particularly enjoy (i.e. salt, pepper, dill,
parsley, basil) and, last but not least, a blender!

DIRECTIONS:
STEP 1: Take the raw clam out of the shell (IF you're having a tough time opening them
without breaking the shell, THEN you can steam them lightly and they'll open up
nicely for you! This is what I usually do!)

STEP 2: Put the clams in a blender. Add bread crumbs (Clam to bread crumb ratio: 2:1)
For example, if you put about 1 cup of clams in the blender, then add a 1/2 cup of bread
crumbs.

STEP 3: Add about a half a teaspoon of oregano, 2 nice size cloves of garlic, the juice of 1
lemon, about 1 teaspoon of olive oil. (You can leave out the oil if you're on a low-fat or
no-fat diet. Add Fat-Free italian salad dressing instead!)

STEP 4: BLEND.... LIQUIFY... MIX.... I usually add a bit of water, one teaspoon at a time,
until it has a nice moist consistency.

STEP 5: Optional! Add any other spices that you like. I love parsley and dill (But
NEVER together.... one or the other.) 1 teaspoon of parsley or 1/2 a teaspoon of dill adds
nice flavor. I don't add salt or pepper, but some people like to add these.

FINALLY: BAKE at 350 degrees until lightly browned. Be careful not to overcook!
After it's cooked, Serve with juicy lemon wedges! ENJOY!

I hope I didn't forget anything! Tell me if you find a better recipe. -SDIAMOND
